Smart financial thinking

EBITDA per employee

It is high time to build financial/Business model that will integrate recruitment to profit making. I think this will go along way to arrest the ugly situation of mass sacking (downsizing). But my concern is, how do you estimate individual contribution to profit making especially for the support staff?

People, kindly contibute to this....I really want to know if EBITDA/employee ratio really mae sense.

Why not? I've seen it used as a metric for comparable analysis in some HR due diligence reports.

It would certainly be an interesting analysis.

I understand that Law of Diminishing Return would apply to it, hence I expect that such model can be a good tool for companies to ensure what is the best no. of employees they should retain/hire to ensure that Marginal utility from them is maximized.

Hope that make some sense.

Cheers!!
