Pivot table grouping

The info on your data sheet is not a suitable datalist for a pivot table. if you look at it the data is already a pivot.

What you should have is three columns of data with Name, Date and Value then you could do it.

No what i meant is in pivot table you can group data only when it is in column or row fields. But in this case i want to group data for the value field. Please see the pivot table sheet and activate the pivot table you will see this field.

I can get this done by using calculated field but this is not good enough if i have huge data.....

Hope i am able to communicate what i meant...............

I think what you need to do is to create a column that has years and another that has qtr then use the year as the page and quarter as the row label and put the value field in the data and that solves your problem see the revised of your data
