Valuation of IT companies - DCF or PE?

Hello Everybody,

I have to build a model for valuation of IT companies and I was confused whether I could use FCFE valuation for the same or not. Even though generally valuations are based on multiples, would that be justified?

Is there any other approach that I can use to value these firms?
