Financial Model for an Investment Company

Dear follow memebers,

I am currently working on a business plan, financial model and risk management plan for incorporating an investment company with Four (4) business lines namely (Aviation, Shipping, Infrastructure and Energy).

I have already commenced with the business paln and its almost done, however, the bottle neck is the Financial Model which is a little difficult to structure with all the basic requirements. I therefore, kindly request if anybody has a basic model which i can use to start the model and be my launch-pad enabelling me complete the task.

Your feedback and support is much appreciated.

You can either send the same directly to my email: salah.khalifa@gmail.com or you may post it on Finance30.com

Best regards,
Salah Khalifa

The attached is a template for building a full set of financial statements. It can easily be adapted to any kind of business - at present the labels tend to be for a service business. Collapse / expand accounts depending on the amount of detail you want. The longest part is simply entering the data once you have made a few basic decisions and done some planning.

Good luck with it. One thing to perhaps note is that none of the "standard" models deal with the issues of portfolio management, performance and design - which is of course, intimately tied up with risk. I assume your business plan deals with this as a separate matter.

Quite demanding because the risk in the company and the risk in the portfolio are hard to distinguish.
