I am sending my Report made when i was student of Masters in Finance! the report was made according to Pakistan's Scenario! kindly install the fonts of folder for the better view of text.

plus, i am sending one book about introduction to islamic finance!

coming to the reply of your question that how can a islamic bank work without interest,

then, there are lot of ways in which, islamic bank can work!

i'll give example of murabaha!

suppose, as a shop keeper you want to sell an article costing , 100 Rs., will you sell it at 100 rs.?

off course not, as you are having cost price of 100 rs. you also need profit on that article, so you add the profit of Rs. 20 then selling price will be Rs. 120.

but practically, buyer is not aware about the cost price, he is only informed by seller that article has a selling price of Rs. 120.

In Murabaha, bank also does so, but making the buyer aware that goods is costing Rs. 100, we are adding profit of Rs. 30, the total price is Rs. 130, which you have to pay in 2 or 3 installment(as per convinient) at future date!

i may agree there are various other aspect that what if buyer is unable to pay am0unt on future date, will penalty be imposed or not etc etc, but these are post concept questions!
