No answer because a) we don't understand the question b) Your data isn't suitable for easy pivot table creation. There should be 4 columns of data with blocks for each month down the page not across.

I think what you need to do is to create a column that has years and another that has qtr then use the year as the page and quarter as the row label and put the value field in the data and that solves your problem see the revised of your data

The info on your data sheet is not a suitable datalist for a pivot table. if you look at it the data is already a pivot. What you should have is three columns of data with Name, Date and Value then you could do it.
